Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996

Privacy Commitment: Cabrini MedXpress, LLC is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all Protected Health Information (PHI) handled in the course of medical courier operations, in full compliance with the HIPAA Privacy Rule (45 CFR Part 164).

Minimum Necessary Standard: Our staff are trained to access, use, and disclose only the minimum necessary PHI required to perform authorized delivery and logistics functions. All couriers operate under a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) framework.

Safeguards: We maintain administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect PHI against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure during transport, including tamper-evident packaging, chain-of-custody documentation, and secure handling protocols.

Breach Notification: In the event of a suspected or confirmed breach of unsecured PHI, Cabrini MedXpress will notify the covered entity without unreasonable delay and no later than 60 days following discovery, consistent with the HIPAA Breach Notification Rule (45 CFR §§ 164.400–414).

Staff Certification: All couriers and operations staff hold current HIPAA compliance certification and complete annual privacy and security training, including OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen standards (29 CFR 1910.1030).
